10 Years In The Making

Well here it is, the first official blog of the rebirth and marketing of my photography! So what more fitting a topic than the new studio that Jessica and I have been working our butts off on! It has been a solid 10 years since I picked up a camera, met my eventual wife on a shoot, and had a dream of us having our own studio like our favorite place in Orange County! First off we can not thank enough all of our friends, family and fans who have stuck with us and supported us from day 1 and those who have came along since. We truly couldnt be where we are today if it was for you! So all that said, lets dive into a little about the new studio!
As most of you have seen by now our adventure into creating our own magical studio and creative space has begun with an old auto shop that was in dire need of a make over to bring our vision to life. As we dove into the planning, one of the first questions was "Well, what are we going to call the place?". And of course nothing was more fitting than the tag line that has followed my photography from day 1. And with that "Anything For The Shot Studio & Creative Space" was born! Some people questioned why we did not name the studio after ourselves, and to put it simply, we are not building the studio for us. So let's dive into who we are building the studio for.
The best part for me about photography is the opportunity to be creative without any real limits. And naturally I would like to inspire and provide the opportunity for others to be able to get as creative as their imaginations will allow. Opening the studio for all to use and grow together in, is the best way to help others explore their creativity. The sets and props that I will be building to shoot with can be the steppingstones that other creatives use to build their own expressions of art through their photography. To me this is the best gift I can offer and pass down to the local photography community, and I have high hopes that it will be a useful one for many.
I am going to go ahead and wrap this first blog up with a teaser of whats to come. I feel that many of the plans for the studio are worthy of a full blog post to themselves, so I will go ahead and just touch on some of them with the checklist below.
- Studio Rental with full use of sets, props and lighting.
- Classes on various photography aspects such as lighting, framing, and learning your gear.
- Group Shoots of various themes where photographers can work on their skills.
- Special themed shoots or sets to provide the opportunity to get great shots.
- Special backdrops to be able to provide special shoots for special people.
And that is just scratching the surface. We look forward to sharing our studio with friends and families, and the opportunity to create friendships and memories as we have in the past from visiting other studios.
